The National Folk Festival includes the largest dance event in Australia. It takes place over the long Easter Weekend at Exhibition Park in Canberra. Five nights and four days of music, dance, workshops etc. Always several ECD dances and/or performances. The 2005 programme had a half dozen ECD events including 'Manx dances', a 'Morris workshop' and English afternoon ceilidh'. www.folkfestival.asn.au

The Canberra Pride & Prejudice Regency Ball, Saturday, 22nd April 2006, is organised by John and Aylwen Garden whose website www.earthlydelights.com.au has significant ECD interest.

The Traditional Social Dance Association of Victoria (TSDAV), and other groups, organise events that feature ECD, Australian, Irish and Scottish dancing. These include the Spring Dance Weekend at Portarlington, in 2006 on 10th - 12th November.
